This is my vintage tech showcase video of the Nokia 8210, also known as the Nokia 8290 in the US. This unit is indeed the 8290 but the differences are just the gsm bands and thats all. The Nokia 8210 was released in October of 1999 as a compact, durable and long battery life phone and was an instant hit. The demand for the Nokia 8210 or 8290 lasted well into the 2010's as said by some reviews as some people just wanted a simple 2G phone with a long battery life. However, due to shutdowns in older 2G networks, people have been forced to move away from such older devices. Nevertheless, it is indeed a vintage Nokia or retro Nokia that needs to be addressed in a retro style review and I will be doing a video on Using Nokia 8210 in 2022 or Nokia 8210 2022 so stay tuned by subscribing! The Nokia 8210 also has an Infrared receiver and transmitter which allows it to communicate with supported PC's, Printers and other mobile devices to transfer or receive information such as contacts or business cards. This infrared port can also be used to play the Classic Nokia Snake game in 2 player mode with another supported device. The Nokia 8210 is another great example of a vintage Nokia phone that is built like a tank and gets the job done. These are considered rare phones or collectible phones and I am keeping them in my phone collection since they are considered as a vintage phones or retro phones. My collection also includes Nokia Prototypes, Blackberry Prototypes, Motorola Prototypes, Sony Ericsson prototypes, Sony Prototypes, HTC Prototypes, Rare Nokia and other rare developer devices! These phones are no Android 11 or Android 12 powerhouses and It also ain't no iPhone 13 Pro Max, Google Pixel 6, Lumia 950Xl, Lumia 1520, Lumia 1020, Google Pixel 6 Pro, Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, Motorola Edge S or OnePlus 8T but are definitely interesting phones on their own!
