INFO:
When we care for our elderly parents, we commit to caring for them in ways that expand the quality of their lives – to the very end of life. In the last 10 years, there has been a profound shift in consciousness about the independent needs of older adults in every area of their lives, except for one. This talk argues that seeing our elders as fully human consequently makes room for their unique sexuality. Ultimately we are making room for ourselves and our own futures as sexual beings. Jane is a certified sexuality educator and podcaster on a mission to promote the sexual well-being of older adults. She believes there is no expiration date on sex. Her research and writing captivates audiences across the U.S. and abroad, spreading her ideas about changing the ways in which we perceive older adults’ sexuality. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
