Exclusive interview with the adoptive parents of the infant girl who was allegedly sodomized by her own father in Miller County, Missouri. Aaron Fisher is the victim’s father. Legal documents show he confessed to the crime. The infant spent 10 days in University Hospital, in Columbia, Missouri, after the incident. Fisher’s case was dismissed after Cole County Missouri Judge Patricia Joyce said his constitutional right to a speedy trial had been violated. Joyce was put on the case in early 2015, after it had dragged on for five years. But the prosecution attributes most of the delays to Fisher’s own attorneys. Fisher changed his plea multiple times, according to court documents, and his attorney requested a continuance just before the start of one of the many scheduled (and subsequently rescheduled) trials. Fisher assented he was waiving his right to a speedy trial with the granting of that continuance. No other documentation exists to prove who caused the delays after that point. Since this interview was recorded, sources say Fisher has likely left the state. He currently faces no charges, and no background check would reveal that he confessed and pleaded guilty to two sex crimes, before the case was dismissed.
